About KP Lime

KP Lime is one of the most technologically advanced lime producers and distributors supplying almost 60% of the lime consumed in Southern Africa. KP Lime was founded by a consortium of mineral resources experts to acquire what was previously PPC’s Lime mining operations and processing plant in the Northern Cape. While the history of the lime operations dates back to 1954, it is currently hosts a vast limestone and dolomite resource base with a lifespan of over 50 years and processing capacity of up to 930 000 tons per annum making KP Lime one of the leading producers in Southern Africa.

Our Operations

KP Lime operates an end-to-end process, having capacity to perform the complete process from extraction to production including logistics that enable a fast route to market. Our mining operations comprise of crushing, screening, hammermilling and two active kilns. The company operates two Smidth Parsons shaft preheater kilns and grate preheater kiln, which are very well suited to produce highly reactive lime consistently. This quality i evident in all quicklime products supplied from our site at Lime Acres. Products are produced to meet different customer requirements in terms of reactivity, residual CO2, sizing etc. With a depot strategically located in Witbank, KP Lime is uniquely positioned to enable quick route to market, ensuring fast and effective delivery of its products to its customers.
